For 2016 I want to set new goals for myself, some similar to what I made for myself last year, and some brand new!
2016 is a big year for me. In May I am getting married, as most of you know. And I am SO excited, but I will definitely be taking most of May off and even a few days off a few months ahead of time to plan my wedding. I am also moving out of my parents house and moving in with my soon to be hubby shortly after the wedding. On top of all that great stuff, we have a possibility of relocating to Virginia Beach!!!! I’ve set lots of personal goals this year, like losing 10 pounds, smiling more, worrying less, resting more, etc. But I’ve set some pretty good goals for KLP too!!!
Here are just a few goals I’ve set for this year:
1. Take on more projects!
I want to hold 2 styled shoots this year! I already am in the process of getting the last few things together for the Winter one on Jan. 29th! And I am hoping to team up with the same planner/designer and do a fall one too! I also really want to work on doing more artsy shoots. Shoots that involve interesting lighting, or special effects. I have also been DYING to drive all over Virginia and photograph abandoned places!!
I want to take on aspiring models, any shape, size or color and do some really cool studio and outdoor shoots, that are more on the artsy/emotional side.
I’m also hoping to team up with a planner/designer and do a series of styled/themed pieces and help them really build a portfolio! I also want to expand my horizons even more and team up with a fashion blogger and photograph fashion pieces because that is a little different than portraiture.
2. BOOK 2 WEDDINGS!
This is a number I actually wish to EXCEED! I want to book as many weddings as I can! I’m hoping for a couple that I can not only do their engagement session, but also the brides portraits, a bridal boudoir AND their wedding day!!
3. Get at least one 2017 KLP EXCLUSIVE 4 seasons senior!
The exclusive 4 season package is by far my favorite! I actually WISH I had this option when I was a senior in HS!!! These seniors are also Spokesmodels/Reps!
4. Purchase my first Canon L Series Lens.
I am hoping to purchase either the 50mm OR the 85mm !!!
5. Get a House of Flynn bag!
I am in SERIOUS need of one of her bags! I bring 3 bags, 1 mono pod and 1 tripod, my purse which has my notebook & iPad in it. But this bag will enable me to only have to care my mono/tripods!
