~Colleen & Chris | Wedding ~
Oakdale | Ashland, Virginia | March 27, 2022
Colleen and Chris tied the knot a few weeks ago on a Sunday at Oakdale, and what a beautiful day it was! Oakdale is a STUNNING venue with the cutest farm animals. Cows, goats, sheep, and a horse named Pusher. Colleen and Chris are such a sweet couple. You can see they are the best of friends and their love blew the roof off of Oakdale! I was loving all the subtle Star Wars details they included with their day. Everything was perfect and beautiful. Colleen lost her father and Chris lost his grandmother and parents prior to the wedding. But, they made beautiful memorials, took shots in their names, and included details that were from them to include them in their day. The Mission BBQ truck pulled up and the aroma of smoking meat filled the air. Colleen made the comment “It pulled up and I wanted to cry, because it feels like Dad is here.” It truly touched my heart.
They totally can throw a party! When a line dance came on, everyone was dancing. We had people singing back and forth to each other on chairs. Dance circles formed as a little girl started dancing to Britney Spears! This was a family reunion for some out of town guests and it was so fun to be around everyone having fun.
Colleen looked absolutely stunning, Chris looked absolutely handsome, and Vienna looked so cute in her doggie Flower Girl harness. And besides a chilly breeze it was a perfect day! This was by far the most colorful wedding to date for us! I am so excited to be sharing the highlights from their day!

What a beautiful memorial for their lost loved ones.
Colleen’s late fathers wedding ring that she wears all the time.
How cute are these 2 cows? I walked up to the fence and said Hi and then they posed like this for me when I held up my camera! Either Oakdale camera trained their cows or they just love the attention!
This very dapper groom is ready to see his bride!
Colleen made an absolutely beautiful bride!
Colleen wanted to share her First Look with her uncle (her late fathers brother) and her brother.
We took traditional Bridal Portraits back in February. So, we decided to take some non-traditional Bridal Portraits with the Mission BQQ truck since it reminded Colleen so much of her dad.
The Flower Girl is wearing Colleen’s Flower Girl dress from when she was a Flower Girl in someones wedding.
When Chris first saw Colleen come down the aisle, that was the first time he had seen her since they left the rehearsal dinner on FRIDAY night!
For the first time…. Mr. & Mrs. Scudder!!!!!
I don’t usually share Reception images but this crowd was so fun I wanted to share a few:
