A Late Spring Micro Wedding On Base – Triangle, VA

United States Marine Corps Memorial Chapel | Quantico Base, Virginia | April 29, 2023

Nakotah & Michael tied the knot in an intimate ceremony with their closest family and friends at the Quantico Marine Base Memorial Chapel. This was my first military that I have had that was on a Military Base. What is so special about it though, is that my parents got married at the same chapel, 34 years ago!! I showed my mom some of the photos and she said it still looked the same as she remembered.

Nakotah, her daughter and her best friend got ready with the help of Nakotah’s mom in the upstairs portion of the chapel. Michael and their family and friends were eagerly waiting for Nakotah to walk down the aisle with her dad. The ceremony was sweet, filled with heartfelt vows to each other and a vow to Nakotah’s daughter, and sentiments to each other and their mothers.

After the ceremony we gathered outside for some photos and then the family and bridal party departed. I had such a fun time running through the church yard with these two! Nakotah switched her heels to her purple Crocs which made the dancing photos even more fun! After we finished the photos Nakotah and Michael hopped in their car and headed to a private reception at a family home. I love the photos from their day! What a gentle and sweet introduction to 2023’s wedding season.
