A Romantic Engagement Session in Colonial Williamsburg, VA

Marissa and Dustin are history buffs so when we discussed where to do their engagement session, Colonial Williamsburg around Christmas time came up. And then Marissa shared that Dustin actually proposed in front of the Capitol Building, so I immediately knew where to start for their session. Their daughter Caroline joined us also. I completely forgot that post COVID they do the Grand Illumination the first 3 Saturdays in December instead of just once on the first Sunday in December. So we did have to battle the crowd and could only access certain aspects of the grounds. But honestly Williamsburg at Christmas is so beautiful. I loved having the chance to finally photograph a session there. It was also really cool to hear all the history facts that Marissa and Dustin shared as we walked through the town. These two are tying the knot at the Historic Post Office in Hampton, VA later this year. And I am so excited for them!!
