An Upscale Fall Wedding in Asheville, NC

Nestled into the Blue Ridge Mountains in Asheville, North Carolina, Emily and Nicholas held a beautiful traditional wedding with all of their family and friends. They had friends and family from all over THE WORLD attend their special day. Emily grew up in Northern Virginia and Nick grew up in Florida. They met in college down in Miami. They have since moved to North Carolina with their pup. They have been through so much together and are truly the best fit for each other.

These two love birds are extra special to me. I have known Emily since we met in church choir when we were in 3rd grade. Emily has been one of my best friends all these years. She was a bridesmaid at my wedding and she and our friend, Ashton sang a duet at our wedding. So, I was so honored to be able to photograph HER wedding.

Their wedding day was positively stunning. Pink, red, and orange flowers. The little red ones actually smelled like chocolate! They had an elegant string quartet, flourishing flower arrangements, delicious cake, and so many beautiful heartfelt moments. Emily spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids and did a first look with her parents. Then Emily’s mom pinned Emily’s veil. Nick got ready with his groomsmen and was later joined by his mom and step dad. His mom pinned his boutonniere for him.

Emily and Nick exchanged letters to each other, which they read prior to the ceremony. Nick surprised her with a little red box with earrings in it too. Their pup was their flower dog and they had a Bonsai Tree union ceremony. Their reception was so fun, everyone was dancing all night long. They gave their guests these beautiful crystal coasters with their initials and wedding date to take home.
