Goals | 2017
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
There are two types of New Years Resolutions I make every year, I make personal goals and goals to improve my business. Instead of posting “I want to book 10 weddings and I want 2 to of them be out of state” or ” I want 3 of my senior reps to come from social media” I want to post about my goals for my clients experience, and my goals on how to pamper, spoil and show my past, present and future clients MAJOR LOVE! And I want to be more open and real online as much as I am in person with my clients. I have rebranded my logo, my website, and I revamped my social media accounts, its time to rebrand myself!
I know what your thinking, and don’t worry, I am not changing who I am. I posted on my personal Facebook that my ONLY New Years Resolution this year is to be: A BETTER VERSION OF ME. I think this can apply to both my personal life and my business. This year I want to be a happier, healthier, more driven, organized, and a more encouraging version of myself. I also want to grow in my new role as: WIFE. Michael and I want kids really bad, so I want to grow as much as I can in my new role as a wife, not a fiancé not a girlfriend..but a WIFE! (I still can’t believe I am married to my best friend, and its going on 8 months!– still a dream come true!) before I become a mother to a baby (If fur babies counted then I am already a Mommie). So without further ado I am going to share my goals–and how I want to achieve them– with you guys!
Personal Goal: To be a better version of me
I want…
- To get fresh air at least once a day!
- To cut down on my caffeine intake (Red Bull is my best friend….this is going to be hard).
- To drink more water.
- To sing more because it makes me happy even though I am a horrible singer!
- To keep the phone away from the dinner table while we are eating and have real conversations.
- To actually sit at the dinner table and not on the couch watching TV.
- To attempt to expand my pallet because I am a VERY picky eater.
- Go to church every Sunday (once Michael and I moved, and Micheal worked 2 jobs… we didn’t go to church, and its time to change that!)
- Donate canned goods, clothes and clean water to shelters in our area to help those who need it.
- Get back in the pool and work my way back up to swimming 2.5-3.5 miles a day!
- To eat more meat than starch.
- To move into a better place than we are living now.
- To become a Mom!! (Fingers crossed for us!)
- To go on adventures and go camping in OBX with Mike and Lily Mae!
- To be better about cleaning throughout the week, vs spending a whole day decluttering and deep cleaning.
- To buy a mermaid tail and live my dream of swimming in the ocean as a mermaid this summer (I know I’m really like 9 years old LOL).
- To save more money than I spend (gotta cut back on buying Lularoe and Simply Southern).
- To get back to where I was with my knowledge of American Sign Language (I have moved 3 hours away from my hard of hearing/ deaf family members and I am no longer pursuing it in school, so I am super rusty and I feel bad about it).
- To NOT let my Anxiety, Depression, IBS, AMS and PMDD get me down.
- To get more sleep, more couple and me time, & hopefully lose some weight along the way!
- To finish all my schooling from the New York Institute of Photography by late March!
Which leads us right into my Business Goals for this year!
Business Goal: Client Experience
I want…
- To take all of the above and bring that happy, determined and positive energy into my business.
- To travel for my business whether it be for Weddings, Seniors, Events, Workshops, Mentoring Sessions — You name it! I just want to see new places!
- To really bond with my Brides & Grooms, My Senior Rep Ladies, Couples, Lularoe Ladies and Soon-To-Be-Mothers. So expect that Instagram follow or that Facebook friend request from me, because I don’t JUST want to be your photographer, I want to be your friend too!
- To surprise my clients with little things, like more photos than they expected, a wedding/graduation gift, discounts on future sessions (Senior Reps and KLP Brides and Grooms get these already!), and just surprises along the way.
- To show them off and tell them how awesome they look and how fun they are on social media.
- I want to be a little more transparent online. I have kept it very professional with only tiny peaks into my personal life, but with my rebrand I decided I wanted people to see me as a person and a friend rather than ONLY a business. So I am going to be sharing more about myself and be a little more “Real Life” on Social Media.
- I want to really be better at blogging sessions. I have sessions that are AWESOME and only HALF of them make it to the blog but they are still ALL OVER my Instagram and Facebook pages! And I feel SUPER bad about that, so its definitely going to change because I am going to be more organized this year and I am going to set aside 2 days to blog a week! Its going to happen. PROMISE!
That is all! I am really really really trying to make this be the year I make the changes in my life for the better!!! And This blog needs some PRETTY!!!! So lets take a look at some of my FAVORITE RING SHOTS FROM 2016!
